How to Pay for Job Training: Self-Pay, Payment Plans, Employer Pays and County Funding

You can pay for job training in four main ways: pay yourself, use a payment plan or multi-class pass, ask your employer to pay, or use county funding if you qualify. At The Ayangbah Foundation, self-pay and employer pay are available now, the Government Contracting Academy has a 3-payment plan, and our application for county funding is in progress. Here is how each option works.

Option 1: Pay yourself

Most of our classes are short and priced so working adults can cover them directly. You pay online through a secure pay link for your class.

Option 2: Payment plans and passes

Two options spread the cost:

  • Government Contracting Academy installments: 3 payments of $499 instead of $1,497 up front. Start the installment plan.
  • Friday Contracting Workshop 4-pass: 4 workshops for $297 instead of paying $97 each time. Buy the 4-pass.

If cost is a concern for another class, call or text us and we will talk through your options honestly.

Option 3: Your employer pays

Many employers will pay for training that helps you do your job better. Excel, QuickBooks, Mandarin for customer-facing roles and government contracting skills are all easy to connect to work.

  1. Pick the class and print or share the class page.
  2. Tell your manager what you will learn and how it helps the team.
  3. Ask your employer to visit our partners page. We work with employers on team training, on-site cohorts and custom quotes.

Business owners can also pay for their own staff directly, one seat at a time, using the regular pay links.

Option 4: County funding (WIOA)

Our application to California's Eligible Training Provider List is in progress. Once approved, eligible residents may have tuition paid by the county.

Until then, county funding is not available for our classes, and our paid classes are not free. If you have questions about county funding, come to the free Monday info session. We will share updates at the Monday info session.
