Online Career Readiness Certificate Program (40 Hours, Live)

Quick answer: The Ayangbah Foundation's online career readiness certificate is a 40-hour Career Readiness & Entrepreneurship Employment Training program. It runs 4 weeks, costs $1,200 and is taught live online by a real instructor. Job seekers, career changers and laid-off workers anywhere in the U.S. can enroll. No diploma or experience is required.

Looking for work can feel lonely. You send out applications and hear nothing back. Or you lost a job you held for years and are not sure where to start. A career readiness program gives you a plan, practical skills and people in your corner.

What Is an Online Career Readiness Certificate?

A career readiness certificate shows you have worked on the skills employers expect from day one. That includes how to look for jobs, present yourself, communicate at work and solve problems.

Our program adds something many others skip: entrepreneurship. Some people want a job. Some want to start a business. Many want both, a steady paycheck now and a side business later. We cover both paths.

What the 40 hours cover

  • Job search skills: where to look, how to apply and how to follow up.
  • Resumes and interviews: how to show your strengths, even with gaps or little experience.
  • Workplace skills: communication, teamwork and professional habits.
  • Entrepreneurship basics: how small businesses start and what it takes to run one.

Why Our Online Career Readiness Certificate Is Taught Live

Every session is live. A real instructor teaches in real time. It is not a recorded video course. You can ask questions, practice interview answers out loud and get feedback right away.

That is hard to get from a video. Practicing an interview with a real person builds confidence in a way that reading tips cannot. Live classes also give you a schedule and a group, which helps you keep going.

You can join online from anywhere in the U.S. If you live near San Bernardino, California, you can also attend in person. We offer day, evening and Saturday classes.

Who This Program Is For

  • Job seekers who want a stronger resume and better interviews.
  • Career changers moving into a new field.
  • Laid-off workers who need a fresh plan. Our post on dislocated tech workers shares more ideas.
  • People returning to work after caregiving, health issues or other time away.
  • Future business owners who want to test an idea.

You do not need a high school diploma. You do not need work experience. You just need to show up ready to learn.

How to Ask About WIOA Funding Where You Live

You may qualify for help paying for training through WIOA, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. WIOA funding is managed locally by each area's workforce board. That means the rules and process depend on where you live.

Here is how to ask:

  1. Go to CareerOneStop.org and use the American Job Center locator to find the center nearest you.
  2. Call or visit. Say you are looking for training and want to know if you may qualify for WIOA funding.
  3. Ask what documents to bring, such as ID, proof of address or a layoff notice.
  4. Ask which training providers they can fund and how to request a specific program.

Please note: our Career Readiness program's ETPL application is in progress. We cannot promise funding. California residents can use our WIOA eligibility checklist to prepare.

Schedule, Cost and Start Dates
