Get job-ready for IT support in just 4 weeks. Our IT Help Desk Technician Bootcamp in San Bernardino, starting spring 2027, is taught by a certified IT instructor who works in managed IT services every day. You will practice the exact tasks local IT companies hire entry-level technicians to do, and both CompTIA A+ exam vouchers are included.
Why IT support?
Every business, school, clinic and warehouse in the Inland Empire depends on computers, networks and Microsoft 365, and most small and mid-size businesses outsource that work to managed IT service providers. Those companies need help desk technicians. Computer user support specialists in the Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario area earn a median of about $34.68 an hour ($72,140 a year), across roughly 3,540 local jobs (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025).
What you will learn
- Week 1, Help desk foundations: setting up and troubleshooting Windows 11 PCs and laptops, printers and peripherals, a step-by-step troubleshooting method, and professional phone, email and remote support with real users
- Week 2, Networking for business: IP addresses, DNS and DHCP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and firewalls, VoIP phones, and fixing "the internet is down" calls
- Week 3, Microsoft 365 and user accounts: Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, password resets and multi-factor authentication, Outlook and Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, and onboarding and offboarding employees
- Week 4, Security, backup and the IT service desk: phishing and malware response, patching and endpoint protection, backup and recovery, ticketing systems and documentation, remote monitoring tools, escalation, and a full simulated help desk shift
Built around real IT jobs
The skills in this bootcamp match what local managed IT companies list in entry-level help desk job postings: Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, basic networking, ticket documentation and strong customer service. You will finish with hands-on lab experience you can talk about in an interview.
