If you need entry-level hires who have already practiced communication, digital skills and interviewing, partner with The Ayangbah Foundation and meet graduates of our Career Readiness & Entrepreneurship Employment Training program. Employers can interview graduates, host work experience and help shape the training. Start the conversation on our partners page.
What our Career Readiness learners work on
Career Readiness is a 40-hour certificate program. Learners spend that time on the skills employers ask about most often for entry-level roles:
- Communication and public speaking.
- Digital skills for everyday work.
- Financial literacy.
- Job readiness: what is expected at work.
- Business planning for those interested in entrepreneurship.
- Resume writing and mock interviews.
Learners also work through topics like a resume with no experience and common interview questions.
Three ways to partner
1. Interview graduates
Tell us what entry-level roles you are filling and what you look for. We can connect you with graduates who are interested in that kind of work. Every hiring decision stays yours.
2. Host work experience
Give learners a chance to see a real workplace and practice their skills on the job. Hosting helps you get to know potential hires before you make an offer, and it shows learners what your industry is really like.
3. Help shape the training
Employers know what new hires struggle with. Your input helps us keep mock interviews, examples and practice close to what the job actually requires. You might also share your hiring process or join a mock interview.
Why partner with a local nonprofit
We are based in downtown San Bernardino, and many of our learners live and want to work in the area. Working with us gives you a direct line to people who chose to invest in their own skills.
- You tell us what entry-level roles you need to fill.
- You get to know candidates in a lower-pressure setting, like a mock interview or work experience placement.
- You help build a stronger local workforce while you meet your own hiring needs.
What we will not promise you
We are a growing program and we prefer to be straight with you. We will not quote placement rates or claims we cannot back up. What we offer is a learner who has spent 40 hours practicing workplace skills, and a nonprofit partner who wants to understand what you need.
