For Employers: Train Your Entry-Level Staff in Excel and Office

The simplest way to train entry-level staff in Excel and Office is a short, hands-on course they can apply at their desk the next day. The Ayangbah Foundation offers Microsoft Excel & Office Essentials, a 12-hour class you can use for individual employees at $297 per seat, or as a private team cohort with a custom quote through our partners page. Training runs live online or in person in downtown San Bernardino.

Why entry-level staff need Office skills

New hires often arrive able to use a phone but not a spreadsheet. That gap shows up in everyday work:

  • Reports built by hand instead of with simple formulas.
  • Lists that are hard to sort, filter or check.
  • Letters and documents that need a lot of cleanup.
  • Missed meetings because no one is using a shared calendar.

These are learnable skills. A focused class helps your staff work with more confidence and frees up supervisors from fixing the same problems again and again.

What your team will learn

Microsoft Excel & Office Essentials covers the tasks entry-level staff actually do:

  • Excel: formulas, sorting, filtering, charts and a simple budget.
  • Word: clean documents, letters and resumes.
  • Outlook: professional email and calendar use.
  • Portfolio project: each learner builds a spreadsheet project that shows what they can do.

Two ways to train your staff

1. Enroll staff in a public class

Best for one to a few employees. They join our regular sections and you pay per seat. Schedules are built around a workday, with evening and Saturday options so training does not pull people off shift.

2. Request a private team cohort

Best for larger groups or when you want training at your location. We offer team training and on-site cohorts. We can talk through your schedule, location and the tasks your team handles most. Pricing is by custom quote.

Online or on site

Public classes run both live online from anywhere in the U.S. and in person at 255 N. D Street, Suite #200-XXVII, San Bernardino, CA 92401. Online works well for teams spread across locations. For on-site cohorts, tell us what you need when you request a quote.
